Daily writing prompt: What was the best compliment you’ve received?
The best compliment I’ve ever received came from my sister’s and brother’s children when they were in their late teens. They told me that, thanks to me, they weren’t afraid of growing old. Watching me age didn’t make them feel like they had to start taking life too seriously or worry about becoming dull.
It was one of those rare moments when you realize that just by being yourself, you’ve made a difference in someone’s perspective. I never set out to be a role model for aging, but if I’ve managed to show them that growing older doesn’t mean losing your spark, then I’ll happily take that as the best compliment ever.

This right there is indeed the best compliment, Ma’am. I wish, my future niece and nephews would say that too when they see their aunt being herself.✨
